MetroAir to Provide Charter Services for Scientists Studying BP Oil Spill

With two months having past since the explosion that caused the massive BP oil spill in the Gulf of Mexico, experts are still trying to mitigate the effects of oil and �Star balls⬝ washing ashore. The EPA needs to assess several areas of the gulf to complete federal Environmental Impact Statements, and scientists from Harvard and the University of Minnesota are preparing to study the �Ssuspended oil⬝ that is floating at middle depths all along the coast from LA to FL.
MetroAir will be providing charter services to fulfill the transportation needs of scientists and government officials. Harvard scientists will fly from Boston (KBOS) to Gulfport-Biloxi (KGPT). U of M biologists will travel from Minneapolis (KMSP) to Houma-Terrebonne (KHUM) south of New Orleans. Finally, officials from the EPA will be transported from Ronald Reagan National Airport (KDCA) to Mobile, AL (KMOB).
There will be several ferry flights involved as we do not service some of these locations at this time. The order of flights will be:
1. Ferry. From KFLL to KMSP
2. Transport. KMSP-KHUM
3. Ferry. KHUM-KDCA
4. Transport. KDCA-KMOB
5. Ferry. KMOB-KBOS
6. Transport. KBOS-KGPT
7. Ferry. KGPT-KFLL
