A MetroAir E170 regional jet departs Princess Juliana International Airport on the island of St. Maarten.
MetroAir Virtual Airlines has announced the addition of ad-hoc charter service from Baltimore to St. Maarten beginning today.
In order to meet the increased demand to the Caribbean during the Carnival and spring break seasons, MetroAir is offering direct Airbus A330 service to St. Maarten from Baltimore, in addition to the scheduled A320 service from Baltimore and E170 service from Fort Lauderdale, through Feb. 27.
“We’re pleased to offer this expanded service to the island of St. Maarten,” said Rob Strain, the airline’s director of media and marketing. “Especially during spring break, when our customers are looking to get away from the cold and snow for a warmer clime.”
